Client Restoration Jenny Lind Childs' Chair

This darling little chair was abandoned by the side of the road!  My client has commissioned me to restore it to its original finish for their grandchildren.  First, some hydration, then some love!

Antique Spanish Gothic Dining Table & Chairs

This Spanish Gothic dining room table was brought to California from Mexico in the early 1900's.  Each  chair is hand craved.  The table top is veneer with real wood slats underneath not plywood.   The natrual wear and tear has been preserved,  and the top has been refinished with six coats of tung oil.  With both of its  15" leafs in it, the table measures 41 1/2" by 95"!  And comes with two captains' chairs and four side chairs.

Tung oil

Here's the first coat of tung oil. If you're looking for a quick finish, don't use tung oil. You need to let each coat dry over night. But if you want grain deep protection, it can't be beat.

The Butterfly Effect

When two pieces of wood, in this case veneer, are placed as mirror images.
At least, that's what I call it! Lol
This is staining #4, I think this should do it.
